Mmm... Sapele

If you haven't heard I'm designing a new line of guitars. The prototype name is the ST-001 and its going to feature this sapele back.

I have an idea!!!

Imagine a Rickenbacker mated with a PRS, then that offspring bred with a Gretsch Falcon...

What would become of this inbreeding mess?

I call it the ST-001, for the lack of a better name. Basically this is a new type of electric guitar, a totally new and radical design that will for sure get second glances. This guitar will sustain and bite like a traditional solid body but have the warmth and harmonic content of a top-of-the-line acoustic.

Stay tuned for sketches, this will surely grab attention on stage and in the studio.

But now, here's some photos of a current project. It's a reissue of a '61 Gibson SG from the mid 90's that has seen better days. The owner brought this to me in hopes that I would fix the headstock. Needless to say this neck and headstock has seen its fair share of beatings, bruising and faulting fix-ups. However this is a prime example of what we do at Robinson Instruments. We take in stuff that seems impossible to repair, be it from fire damage or butterfinger hands of a roadie. We are a restoration shop.

These are the before shots, and I'm glad to say it's now drying and just about ready for it's final polish.

Organ photo, sorry for the delay.

I know I said I was going to post photos from that hammond and that didn't happen right away. Sorry for the delay, but anyways here's one, it's the backside.

I've got plenty of parts to sell, such as the tube power supply, volume pedal, two 8 inch speakers, one 15 inch speaker, tone wheel, keyboards(upper and lower), tremolo, reverb tank, and chorus effect.

let me know if there any parts you want, some of these are perfect for your home guitar amp project.

Hammond H-112

So I salvaged an old Hammond Tonewheel organ. I've made a few posts on craigslist on the parts I'm ripping out. I have plenty left organ still sitting in my father-in-law's work shop(It's a big sucker).
Hammond made this line of organs for home use. Basiclly, they marketed these to lil'old church ladies who liked to play hymns. This particular model of organ includes a lot of the same circuitry as the venerated B3, but this model has internal speakers and isn't fitted to play a Leslie.
Tomorrow I will post on this site, photos of the organ and the pieces that are for sale. However if someone is just itching for a do-it-yourself project, 200 bucks and its yours, just bring your own truck.

Test

Just getting started with everything. I'm not exactly sure how, what or where to start. I will post photos of my current project in the near future.
